Blacksmith Classes are one-on-one or small group workshops that we offer in 4 hour, 8 hour, 2-day or 3-day classes. The small class sizes allow us to fit into your schedule. Contact us to request alternate workshop times for the dates provided.

Workshops are focused on shop safety while exploring traditional and modern techniques of forging iron. Projects in 100 level classes are set with room to progress dependent on the participants interests and skill set.

Private, couples and family classes available.

ABANA National Curriculum Level 1 and Level 2 Certification and Level 3 Instruction available.

BLACKSMITH EXPERIENCE- PBS 100 (4hr). Instructor: Dylan Cook. No experience necessary. This class is designed for people that are curious about forging and want to give it a try. Safety and introduction to the heat, hammer and anvil are covered in this one day workshop. See if you like it. $150/Person

INTRO TO FORGING (PBS 101) - 1 Day (8hr) Instructor: Dylan Cook No experience necessary. Safety and introduction to the heat, hammer and anvil are covered in this one day workshop. Focus on hammer control and use of the anvil through the fundamentals of forging. Participants will take home up to 3 projects. $200/Person

BEGINNING BLACKSMITH (PBS 102) - 2 Day (16 hr) Instructor: Dylan Cook No experience necessary. This class is everything from PBS 101 and with a focus on forging techniques and different materials (solid, pipe, high carbon) and an intro into tool making and heat treatment. $400/Person

JUMP IN THE FIRE (PBS 103)- 3 DAY (24hr) Instructor Dylan Cook No experience necessary. Intensive “Crash Course” for the beginning smith. This is RECOMMENDED for people pursuing ABANA National Curriculum Level 1 Certification.

GRILL/BBQ TOOLS (PBS 104) -3 DAY (24 hr) Instructor: Dylan Cook Are you or someone that you know a grill master? Forge a custom set of grilling tools including fork, spatula, tongs and a rack to hang them for yourself or for a gift.

FIREPLACE TOOLS (PBS 105) -2 DAY (16hr) Instructor: Dylan Cook Make a custom set of fireplace tools including a poker, tongs, and shovel.

TONGS! (PBS 106)- 2 Day (16hr) Instructor: Dylan Cook Some experience recommended. Forge your own scrolling tongs, duck bill and v-bit tongs.

HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS (PBS 107)- Instructor Dylan Cook.

ABANA NATIONAL CURRICULUM LEVEL 1 SKILLS AND CERTIFICATION (PBS 108) Instructor: Dylan Cook. Make the tools and learn the skills of the level 1 National Curriculum.
